How we rank mortgage brokers
Every claimed mortgage broker, and every listing with Google reviews, gets a BrokerScore out of 10. It’s built only from things a mortgage broker earns by doing good work.
What goes into a BrokerScore
- What clients say. Ratings and reviews, including how many there are and how recent they are.
- How they look after people. Things like how quickly they respond when someone gets in touch.
- How complete and trustworthy the profile is. Including the checks we’ve been able to make.
We don’t publish the exact formula. We refine it over time to keep it fair and hard to game. Your plan doesn’t affect your score.
Top Brokers
The highest scoring mortgage brokers in each suburb are shown as Top Brokers. They’re based on score alone.
Featured
One Featured spot sits above the list. It’s a paid placement shared by up to three mortgage brokers on our Premier plan who chose that suburb as their Premier suburb (or, when none of them can show, a paid member who serves the suburb). They need a BrokerScore of at least 0.0. It’s always labelled Featured, and it doesn’t affect anyone’s score.
Unclaimed profiles
Profiles we’ve created from public records are scored on the reviews we can match to them with confidence. Claiming a profile never lowers its score. Profiles without enough to go on show as “Not yet scored”.
Reviews we check
We check every review before it goes live. Reviews from people who contacted the mortgage broker through BrokerScore are marked Verified customer.
